What made Olubunmi Alao extraordinary was not a single accomplishment, but the way she chose to live every day.
She was a devoted wife, mother of four, entrepreneur, mentor, and trusted member of her community. Yet those titles only begin to describe who she was. At her core, Olubunmi was someone who believed that if she had the ability to help another person, she should.
Her home was always open, her table always had room for one more, and her heart always had space for those in need. She loved deeply, gave freely, and never sought recognition for her generosity because serving others was simply the way she lived.
She faithfully served her church in countless ways: she sang in the choir, organized church events, prepared meals for church celebrations and anniversaries, and could be found cleaning the church on Saturdays to prepare for Sunday worship.
She viewed every interaction as an opportunity to minister to others. People often came to her seeking help, guidance, or support, and she would listen, pray with them, encourage them, and often invite them to church.
She encouraged others to dream bigger, pursue opportunities, and believe that a better future was possible. Many people credit her encouragement, guidance, and support as a turning point in their lives.
She was also known for her joyful spirit. She loved to laugh, loved to dance, loved to cook, and loved creating moments that brought people together.
While no words can fully capture the depth of who she was, her life stands as a powerful example of what it means to love God, love people, and live a life of service.
