On April 21, 2026, the Olubunmi Alao Foundation held its pre-launch community outreach, its first gathering to introduce the Foundation to the community it set out to serve.
In partnership with the Dolly Children Foundation, we brought together children from underserved communities for a day of celebration, encouragement, food, and educational materials. It was a chance to meet, to listen, and to begin building trust.
There was music, there were games, and there was joy. More than anything, there were children, welcomed and celebrated exactly as they were.
Every child went home with school supplies in a branded tote bag, a small but meaningful start, and a reminder that support does not have to wait for perfect conditions.
We do not wait for everything to be in place to begin the work. The prelaunch reminded us why we started, and pointed us straight toward our official Children’s Day launch a few weeks later.
